Wikipedia - one of the most influential sources of online "history"?

On that note, we have finally been able to update the "Wellington protest 2022" Wikipedia page to add the film in the Legacy section – a quiet but meaningful step forward for balance. Previous attempts were blocked, or saw all references to River of Freedom removed by unknown contributors.
|
We note that much of the page still contains false or misleading information that leans heavily on absentee media reports which were themselves inaccurate or incomplete. Wikipedia is where many people, especially younger generations, first learn about events like ours. We refuse to let the real reasons we went to Parliament – and what many endured – be conveniently written out of the story.
If you are able to address or correctly rewrite any of their false claims or missing context with short, well-sourced corrections and references, then certainly try! Even one reliable reference can make a difference.

"THE TRIBUTE" web series teaser launched
|
|
On Sunday night, 14 December, we launched a teaser for a new web series made by some of the River of Freedom team - THE TRIBUTE web series will begin releasing episodes in mid-January. The web series is a heartfelt tribute to the vaccine-injured’s endurance and experience, and to the families of those who lost their lives from the jab. Each episode will reveal the story of an everyday New Zealander injured by the Covid jab, abandoned by a dismissive health system, and then silenced. THE TRIBUTE gives a voice to Covid vaccine injured people.

Supported by Lynda Wharton of The Health Forum NZ and with Aly Cook on promotions, the Tribute team aim to keep filming, documenting and releasing these stories for as long as it takes for public accountability, and to once again, ensure a public record is held, seen and shared.

We know these stories need to be heard, and are heartened to see the teaser had 10,000 views in less than a week, with over 1000 subscribers already on YouTube! We are also releasing the episodes on Spotify, Facebook, X, etc. We'll be sending legacy media a formal Press Release with each and every story, so they can report and share as well. :)
