We made River of Freedom to make sure an historical record is preserved on film — we are now pleased to tell you about our latest creative project to ensure New Zealand never forgets:

We've been working on this since the film was released and can finally report — it is at the printers!! Expected delivery is February/March 2026.

This book extends on the film, another lasting account for future generations. The writers, Siân Clement and Gaylene Barnes, are extremely proud of how the 424 detailed pages have came together in 14 chapters with over 70 colour photos.

We had so much powerful material from our conversations — we wanted to further honour the voices of resilience at the protest, and unpack that time of the jab mandates and vaccine pass. The book dives deeper, weaving together a range of perspectives while keeping the same authentic, heartfelt storytelling as the film. We’re grateful for the courage and generosity of everybody who shared their story with us.
